As I recall our infamous Attorney General (now divorced because he believed in one man and two women when he committed adultery and disregarded his own wife and children for another woman) claimed he supported the marriage amendment as well as limiting benefits to one man and one woman. Kinda makes him a hypocrite doesn't it?!

Once again, Michigan has gone one step further to reinforce discrimination. First they took away rights by amending the Michigan Constitution, and now by eliminating beneifts not only to LGBT couples, but their children. I thought a Republican value was to "Focus on the Family". Only married heterosexual families! Gary Glenn of the American Family Association of Michigan even went as far to suggest they would support legislation that would limit healthcare to "one man and one woman". And these folks say there is a "Homosexual Agenda"! Sounds like their crusade is one of an "Anti-Homosexual Agenda". What ever happened to "Liberty and Justice for All?!"

There are consequences in everything we do. Some good and some bad. I think there should be "free speech" on the internet so long as it doesn't inspire crime such as hate groups that might inspire someone to harm or murder another and or for the promotion of illegal activity.

Free speech comes with responsibility. We’re able to say what we want but we have to deal with the consequences. The anonymity of the internet sometimes inspires people to say things they probably wouldn’t, maybe shouldn’t, say in real life. Is this a problem or is it good that it allows us to say what we’re really thinking?

The only things that these type of articles accomplish is to further already ingrained stereotypes. It brings no new information to the table, but provides statistics and data that support its preformed conclusion that Flint is a bad place. Perhaps Forbes magazine ought to do a list of the most miserable corporations to work for or better yet a list of the least responsible corporate citizens that have contributed to the misery of so called "miserable cities".

In addition, a major concern would be that police responding to such a situation would not be able to tell the difference between an armed person intent on harming others and an armed person using their weapon defensively. How can the police determine the intent of a person holding a gun during a crisis where shots have already been fired and any threat to the safety of the officer must be neutralized. It seems as if many good intentioned students hoping to kill the shooter before police arrive may be shot by police in a case of mistaken identity.

Yikes, it would be difficult to tell the difference between gun-toting regular people and gun-toting crazies.

It's amazing how they describe what "miserable" means" It means the residents in that city are feeling emotional distress and intense unhappiness. It's not that it is a miserable city to be in. These types of rating systems erk me simply because people will take that type of media driven information and skew it around making the reputation of Detroit even worse. "Don't go there! It's MISERABLE!"
